Sickle cell disease is a genetic disease mostely found in Tarai belt of Nepal specially among Tharu community. The bardia district oof Lumbini Province in mid western Nepal belong to the Tharu community and suffered from Sickle Cell anemia disease. Rotary club of Bagmati Kathmandu supported for four sets of Hospital Bed equivalent of Rs. 140,000.00 to Barbardiya Town Hospital, at Bardiya district to establish Hospital’s new Sickle Cell unit to provide special qualitative services on treatment of Sickle Cell Anemia patients. Supported Bed set includes Single fold Bed with Ralling, Bed side Locker, Medicine tray with Stand. IV stand, Mattress, Pillow, Bed Sheet and Oxygen Flow Meter.
