Rotary club of Bagmati Kathmandu jointly with Nepal Cancer Relief society Kathmandu Branch organized one day free Cervical Cancer screening test ( VIA test ) on 1st February 2025 at Nagarjung Municipality ward no 3. The program was supported by Interact club of Halchowk Bagmati School, Halcnowk Seconday school Nagargund Municipality ward no 3, Lions club of Kathmandu Ashoka and was technically supported by 5 member team of Nepal Australian Cervical Cancer Foundation, leaded by its secretary Dr. Kasturi Malla. A total of 118 community women patients being tested. Among them 3 patients found positive, was given to them38 patients found general infected and rest were found normal. The program was started with a small opening secession, where Dr. Kasturi Malla, a senior gynecologist informed on cervical cancer and need of screening test and so on. Acting Mayor of Nagarjung Municipality Ms Sushila Adhikari addressed with requesting to implement such program in other wards also. The Program was started at 10.00 AM and ended at 2.30 pm.
