Halchok Secondary School is one of the Community based school located at western part of Kathmandu valley called Nagarjun Municipality.Most of the students in the school are from local community consisted of deprived marginalized ethnical group of people like Putuwar, Bhujel, Tamang,Limbu etc.Number of students in school are decreased from COVID19.Now there are only 250 students in the school and 20 students in class one.Before COVID19 there were more than 600 students. Rotary Club of Bagmati in support of Rtn.Sharada Ram Bhandari,PP and TRF Chair at present of Rotary Club of Royal Palm Beach RID 6930,Florida,USA,handed over a 65″Smart Board to School for Class One as to operate happy Class with smart teaching technology from childhood. The school has plan to fix smart board in all classes in few years with the help of donors and local government so that the student admitted in class one will have access to study in smart technology until they leave the school after secondary level.
